Converting form data from MS word to MS excel for bulk responses

Hi! I have form data in MS word 2010 format with activeX controls and with macros enabled. It is response to a questionnaire, so it has all sorts of checkboxes, radio buttons, text boxes, date entries in activeX controls( and not legacy form controls). I want to be able to fill in cells in excel spreadsheet with inputs from the form fields. When I enable "Save form data as delimited text file" and try to save it as text file, the data doesn't get populated into the text file and just an empty text file gets created. Importing such a text file into excel won't then serve my purpose. Please help. Also, I have a massive number of such form documents, data from which I want to get populated into my excel  spreadsheet. I would therefore wish to automate the whole process of importing data and populating cells with it.   Thanks..
