(Glyn Rees) Microsoft Excel provides a very simple mechanism (autofilter) for selecting data subsets. Autofilters can be set up to choose specific values or a range of values. Several filters can be used, each acting further on the current data subset. An advanced filter is provided for more complicated selections.
