 Article Abstract:

Sometimes Microsoft Access can lose the connection to linked tables because either those tables have been moved or changed on their remote source or there have been changes to the local computer. In these cases the tables need to be refreshed in Microsoft Access to recreate the link.

The likely indicator that tables need to be refreshed is if you try to use a database application in Microsoft Access or simply open the tables and you receive and ODBC error message.
